Racor Filtration

Racor is the global leader in fuel, air, oil, and coolant filtration systems for internal combustion engines and fuel delivery. Founded in 1969, the company’s product line includes fuel filter/water separator systems, high flow filter vessels and elements, oil filter systems, automatic transmission filters, heavy-duty engine air filters, crankcase ventilation filter systems, and coolant products. Racor also offers concentrated additives for fuel, gasoline, and lube oil. Applications include engine-powered equipment in the on-highway, off-highway, marine, agriculture, and stationary power markets.
Heavy-Duty Standard Air Filters for On-Highway, Off-Highway, and Stationary Applications
Racor AFSF Standard Air Filters are designed to be connected to the air intake of the gasoline or diesel engine.
How They WorkAir flows through static vanes (plastic or metal) which causes the air to spin. Centrifugal force separates the heaviest impurities (dust, dirt, insects, and other debris) from the air stream. These contaminants are discharged automatically through an integral evacuator valve. Only purified air flows to the air filter elements (primary and safety stages of filtration).
Typical Applications• Agricultural Machinery• Earth-Moving Equipment• Stationary Engines/Generator Sets• Trucks, Buses, and Recreational Vehicles• Material Handling Equipment• Snow Removal Equipment and Street Sweepers
These assemblies are designed and tested for today’s new alternative fuels: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquid Propane Gas (LPG). CNG, LNG and LPG have the same problems that plague diesel and gasoline, particulate contamination collects during handling, water condenses in tanks, and compressors leak oil into the fuel stream.

The precision components necessary for the efficient operation of an alternative fuel system demand superior filtration. Racor anticipated the need for ultra-fine filtration at the pressures required by compressed natural gas. The answer is the industry’s first, most complete and most
efficient line of alternative fuel filters/coalescers.

FFC series filters are designed to protect critical engine components in CNG, LNG, and LPG powered vehicles. Contaminants can be introduced into a vehicle’s fuel tank when being fueled or may come from compressors and/or storage facilities. A grade 6 coalescing filter is specifically designed to remove oil, water, and solid contamination from compressed natural gas.
The patented coalescing filter removes 99.97% of all aerosols in the 0.3 to 0.6 micron range.

These fuel filter/coalescer elements are produced by a patented process of arranging micro-glass fibers into a tubular form. During operation, fuel is forced through the coalescing media from the inside of a cartridge through a tubular wall to the outside, where large droplets fall to the bottom of the housing. Oily water emulsion accumulates until drained while dirt particles remain trapped and collect on surfaces of fibers.

Fram Filter

OIL FILTER
Advanced Oil Filter Media Gives FRAM The Advantage
With an ideal balance of dirt-trapping efficiency and dirt-holding capacity, every FRAM oil filter uses a special blend of fibers and resin providing a proprietary filter media that delivers excellent engine protection.
The most commonly used filter media is cellulose, which is a natural material that presents a random and irregular field of fibers to the oil. By itself, it can only deliver about 80% dirt-trapping efficiency.
By adding microscopic synthetic fibers, small windows are created that trap the smaller dirt particles without affecting the flow of oil. Blending synthetic fibers with cellulose increases a filter’s dirt-trapping efficiency and its dirt-holding capacity for higher levels of engine protection and longer filter life.
AIR FILTER
In 1951 FRAM® developed the first dry-type carburetor air filter, a revolutionary design that was significantly different than the previous oil bath air filters. Today FRAM® continues to produce high quality air filters for a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Regular replacement of air filters helps to protect your engine, avoids excessive wear and improves gas mileage. So remember, before you slam it, FRAM® It!
Fluid testing with FRAM Fluid Analysis Laboratories will now be faster and easier. With multiple laboratories strategically located across the country, a laboratory is accessible by ground transit within 48 hours from anywhere within the continental United States.
Our new online reporting software now provides access to your test results almost immediately after processing is complete via the internet. Data analysts are available during regular business hours to answer questions and assist you in understanding your results.

Baldwin filter

Baldwin lube filter
High Velocity Dual-Flow®
Baldwin Filters’ High Velocity Dual-Flow lube filters provide improved engine protection during extended oil drain intervals, high idle time and harsh operating conditions. The patented design of the High Velocity Dual-Flow filters provides maximum filtration, while the heavy-duty construction ensures dependable operation. The Baldwin DesignBaldwin Filters’ High Velocity Dual-Flow line includes dual-flow lube filters to be used on Cummins ISM, ISX and Series 600 engines as replacements for the Fleetguard Venturi™ filter line. There are differences between standard dual-flow lube spin-on filters and the High Velocity Dual-Flow filters.High Velocity Dual-Flow spin-ons have one inlet and one outlet. Oil flowing through the filter is sent directly to the engine to protect vital engine components, rather than a portion being returned to the sump as with conventional dual-flow filters. The High Velocity Dual-Flow spin-on design is also superior to standard full-flow/by-pass designs in that a larger portion of the flow travels through the high efficiency element, removing more small contaminants. In traditional full-flow/by-pass designs, only a small percentage of flow, 10% or less, travels through the high efficiency element.

Baldwin Air Filter
Baldwin Filters' patent pending Channel Flow air filters provide superior filtration solutions in a lightweight, compact design for easy installation in less space. This straight-through air flow technology not only allows for less installation space, but offers manufacturers flexibility in design configuration. The Baldwin DesignBaldwin's Channel Flow filter has more surface area than a traditional air filter, while requiring the same or less installation space. The Channel Flow media is formed by layering alternating rows of flat sheets and corrugated media. When completed, the media resembles a honeycomb network of channels. As the media pack is formed, alternating channels are sealed with a bead of adhesive. Air enters open channels and flows through the media and out through adjacent open channels. With a traditional air filter, air typically enters through the side of the filter housing. The air must then work its way around the filter element, pass through the media, then turn 90° to exit the filter. By eliminating the turns the air needs to make in a traditional air filter, in-line air filters reduce restriction.
Baldwin Fuel filter
Fuel Manager Style Filters
Baldwin Filters’ design incorporates a removable, all-metal, self-venting drain valve into the filter’s assembly for full compatibility with OE designs. All OE drain valves, sensors and bowls may be used with the Baldwin design.
The Baldwin DesignBaldwin’s design removed the OE raised “keys” to allow universal fit on multiple OE fuel bases. This makes filter installation easier as no alignment to the mounting head is necessary. All primary filters are painted red, while all secondary filters are painted white. This color coding helps determine, at a glance, that the proper filter is being installed. The metal drain valve adds versatility of use on both standard and marine applications. Baldwin’s removable self-venting drain valve is standard on these filters; however, the filter can be used with the Baldwin drain or removed for use with the OE sensor or bowl.
Baldwin Hydraulic filter
PureForce® Filters Made for Harsh Conditions
Baldwin’s PureForce filters are engineered to withstand extreme conditions created by medium-pressure hydraulic systems, with working pressure up to 500 psi and flow rates up to 50 gpm.Highest Possible Structural IntegrityBaldwin’s PureForce hydraulic filters feature a die cast aluminum baseplate locked in place by a patent pending L-Lock™ hem — eliminating leaks due to the integrity of the housing seal.Superior Burst PressureLab and field testing show that PureForce filters have the highest level of burst and fatigue characteristics — with PureForce exceeding the leading competitor’s published burst pressure specifications by an average of 65%.Greater ConsistencyPureForce filters test at higher average levels on a more consistent basis — providing the most reliable medium-pressure hydraulic spin-on. This greatly reduces the possibility of unexpected downtime due to a failed filter.

Hella Automotive Lighting and Electrical

Hella Driving Lamps and
Automotive Safety
Hella has long been a pioneer in innovative
lighting technology, and is one of the leading
suppliers to the automotive industry in
this field. Hella’s high-quality driving lamps
incorporate the latest technological
advances to:
• Increase your range of vision at night,
effectively reducing your chance of
being involved in an accident.
• Ease the difficulty of night driving, thus
minimising the chance of driver fatigue.
• Make your vehicle more visible to other
motorists on the road.
Even with good lighting, driving during the
day is safer than driving at night – but with
Hella, you can rest assured that you are
doing all you can to protect yourself, your
vehicle and other road users.

Lighting options to suit your needs
Pencil Beam Driving Lamps
(for long-range illumination)
The Pencil Beam driving lamp is designed for maximum long-range illumination, providing
improved visibility of objects and traffic situations further in the distance. Very little light is
lost to the sides or the area right in front of the vehicle. This pattern is particularly suitable for
vehicles travelling long distances at high speeds, when objects further in the distance must be
recognised quickly to minimise the reaction time of the driver.
Spread Beam Driving Lamps
(for a full field of vision)
The Spread Beam driving lamp provides good illumination of both the area immediately in front
of the vehicle and the road ahead. This pattern is particularly suitable for slower vehicles, such
as trucks and buses, when fatigue-free driving is more important than recognising objects in the
distance.
Hella Fog Lamps (for safe driving in inclement weather)
Fog, rain or snow can reflect the light of standard driving lamps back into your eyes, creating
dangerous glare that makes it difficult to recognise hidden hazards. Hella fog lamps are
equipped with specially designed reflectors, which evenly illuminate the width of the road,
providing you with a wide path of light for greater safety through clearer visibility. These lamps
are particularly suitable for any vehicle driving through fog, rain or snow

Work lamp Hella

Working vehicles such as tractors, trucks,
cranes, earthmoving and construction
vehicles have special worklamp needs.
Careful selection of the right work
environment lighting is essential to provide
a bright, safe work place. Hella’s Free-Form
Technology and new Xenon Gas Discharge
worklamps provide you with efficient,
powerful tools to achieve your ideal work
space lighting.
Hella is a leader in the development of an
innovative range of worklamps, to give
you unmatched choice of specialised
work-lighting solutions to meet almost any
requirement.

Halogen Free-Form (FF)
WorkLamps
What is FF (Free-Form) technology?
Old-style parabolic reflectors direct light into a
beam that is focused and projected by a single
lens optic. Hella’s FF technology uses over
50,000 computer-designed individual reflector
points to focus the light, thus improving the
brightness of the light and the pattern of the
beam.
Advantages of FF lighting:
• Able to produce much more light than
conventional lamps, which is not only more
efficient, but also saves installation time,
power and maintenance costs.
• Effective beam control directs light more
accurately and evenly, ensuring reduced
bonnet glare and eye fatigue

Australian Design Rules
(ADRs)
On the 1st October 1991, Australia
introduced stringent mandatory
regulations for all vehicles manufactured
on or after that date. These regulations,
known as 3rd Edition Australian Design
Rules (ADRs), stipulate minimum
performance and design standards for
particular vehicle safety features.
Hella supplies over 125 products
complying with current ADRs including
reversing lamps, indicator lamps, reflectors
and filament globes.
To simplify the ADR approval process
for smaller manufacturers and individual
vehicle builders, Hella has made a
consolidated Summary of Evidence (SE)
submission to the Federal Office of Road
Safety (FORS). This submission covers
all Hella products that comply with 3rd
Edition ADRs. For easy reference, Hella
lists both the Hella and FORS Component
Registration
Numbers (CRN)
beside each Part No.
in a quick reference
ADR application
chart at the rear
of this catalogue
(pages 316 - 323 ).
All Hella packaging
now indicates ADR
compliance where
applicable and
lamp identification
information along
with specific ADR related lamp orientation
and mounting requirements.
The provision of this information will
enable customers requiring ADR
compliance to simply quote the relevant
CRN to the authorities, who maintain a
central register, rather than undertake a
detailed SE submission for each lamp
function.
